Random Silly Poems

While making these I was laughing really hard to the point where I was crying. Probably because most of these don't make a lot of sense. They were fun to make though.

I guess I am just trying to push out as much stuff as I can and reverting back to these poems I don't think is a bad thing. It's like having a "safe spot" to go back to and remember what I was trying to do in the first place.

Drawings based on "My Throat is on Fire"

For the past two weeks I have had an on going sore throat. It isn't strep or anything contagious but it has been slowly interrupting a few of my personal schedules.

Besides these drawings I have started a small notebook containing all personal things along with other line drawings. I tend to write in a certain form that makes my thoughts look like lists or bulleted information. Sort of like brief poetry.

Drawings and Poems

The drawings above are done on different types of Strathmore paper ranging from light to heavy weights.

The poems above were already presented in class but since they have a different rhythm to them I decided to put them up.

This is a lot of poems.

I decided to carefully tear out all the poems I make, and this makes each book a bit thinner. This is a weird process because having people watch me while I quickly connect a poem and then tear it out, it's almost kind of self destructive. Book destructive? I wonder what it will look like when I am done with one whole book. So exciting!

I did not realize that some o these photos came out with a pink tint. I believe it is due to my awesome magenta robe. Photoshop tutorials. Yes.

Lines and Poems and More Poems

I have found that a lot of my poems have to do with grief. Very sad indeed but still a solid base for the next few line poems. The few pictures I have are of the newest line poems and one that I typed out and measured according to the dimensions of the book page. Since this is a mathematical book, I used an x-axis y-axis table to quicken the pace logging down coordinates and then referring back to the table when placing the words in the layout. The first few words are not logged.

Lined Books : Searching Method

At the end of last semester I started working within a small book "Historical View of the Literature of South of Europe" connecting different words with straight thin lines. The relationship between each word is still blurry to me but seem to be related to my own emotional aesthetics and the subject of the page. I have started another book "Elementary Mathematical Analysis" that has become more difficult because of the lack of emotion compared to the first book. I have however discovered that there are different meanings for certain words when I say them out loud.

I still need to find books on phonetics.
